BUG: Can't archive email

I just installed Matcha via brew in my MacOS 15.7.3. After creating an app-password for my gmail account and setting it, I was able to retrieve my inbox messages. There was a new message from Google alerting me about the new app-password that I just created. I opened it and pressed 'a'. The screen says "Archiving email...", and after a couple of seconds it gets back to the previous screen. Tried the same in the inbox screen and the message screen. If I exit the app and open it again, the email message is still there. If I open gmail.com, the message is still there.

I have tested this just now with my Gmail account, and it works fine.

Could you record a demo, and send it here?

P.S. the "archived" emails on Gmail go into "All emails", which could be open at the time of your testing. Make sure, that you browse "Inbox" to see the archived email

Well this is definitely interesting... I will try to replicate this somehow.

Just a few questions:

1. At login did you use "gmail" or "custom" as a provider?
2. Is your email ending at @gmail.com?

In the meantime, I have a stupid suggestion, but the only one i can think of, can you try to archive when there are > 1 emails in the inbox?

Yes for both questions. I sent myself an email and tried archiving, but could not archive any of them...

Email field (which is Username in the form) should have been lps.rubens@gmail.com

This is your authorization username.

"Host" was renamed to "username" as per #102

Note

This is not the same as fetch_email, because even for Gmail you may have several email addresses under 1 IMAP user.

Remove the account and re-add it, or change the config file directly!

Sadly it did not work. I deleted the account, and even deleted all files inside the .config/matcha folder. both username and email were set to ***@***.*** But I was not able to archive a message. I have verified that everything works on my side, and [Gmail]/All Mail is the inbox the archived emails should go to.

I have patched a version with error handling added. Please, try to archive now, if it shows an error paste a screenshot, or the error here.
Run:
