According to the docs,

AppData files should be placed in /app/share/metainfo/.

The DOSBox Flatpak was made when the old standard was still used. I will fix this in the future update.

Sadly, it looks like that Flatpak itself still uses the appdata directory instead of metainfo so there is no point in making this change until this gets fixed.
