There is now no way to rip the ROMs from or replace the ROMs in Sonic Mega Collection (GameCube), as the dat2bin program fails to compile as of now and the Sonic Mega Converter is taken down now. Does anyone have a copy of the Sonic Mega Converter? If you do, send it to me. Thanks!

If you have the link that used to work, try it in the Wayback Machine at archive.org. A lot of sites/files that have been taken down can still be accessed via that tool.

I'm able to compile this version of dat2bin from @sethmlarson on Ubuntu 25.10 by running:

g++ dat2bin.cpp -o dat2bin

I've verified that it is able to convert the .dat files from my copy of Sonic Mega Collection for the GameCube. Here's the compiled binary if it is useful, though it will likely only work on Ubuntu 25.10: dat2bin.zip
