I've added it to my config to try it out (https://github.com/asfaload/agents_container).
Suggestions for your documentation:

• it would be great to give an example on how to install a package for a particular agent when you have multiple agents installed like I have. How do I install a package for opencode eg while I also have claude code installed. It's not clear from the doc or I missed it.
• can you install plugins from https://claude-plugins.dev/ ? If yes giving an example would help.

• OpenPackage auto detects which platforms you are using (via existence of per platform dot folders, such as .cursor, .claude, etc.) and installs to them.
• You can also specify specific platforms to install to via --platforms flag, for example --platforms cursor opencode.
• You can currently install CC plugins via GitHub using opkg install github:<username>/<repo>, I will look to integrate something similar to claude-plugins.dev soon.
• Will check out your agents container repo, it's super interesting!

These are great suggestions, I'll update the docs accordingly, thanks for the feedback!

Could you explain in the README how is this possible? I'm confused because you also say that openpackage.yml file is required but I don't see claude-plugins-official providing such a file.

Also, in general, I feel like the README doesn't do a good job explaining the installation workflow. What's the magic behind opkg? A diagram, even an ASCII one, might be helpful.

Ah, openpackage.yml is only required if you would like to author an OpenPackage native package (openpackage.yml at root), instead of a Claude Plugin (.claude-plugin/plugin.json at root).

You can currently install CC plugins via GitHub, this is possible via running opkg install github:<user>/<repo>, OpenPackage will take care of the rest. What it does is that it recognizes and reads .claude-plugin/marketplace.json, then shows a selection menu in the CLI after invoking the install command, and then after selection of the plugin it will install the files to auto detected platforms, or only to the platforms you specify using --platforms option.

In other words, OpenPackage is able to detect and read Claude Plugin marketplaces and plugins as-is with no modification to them required.

Regarding the README and docs, I will be doing an overhaul to much better document OpenPackage usage this week.
I really like your suggestion for showing the "magic" behind opkg and illustrating it with an ASCII diagram, I'll look to add this!
