Magic:Bit v3.1 compatibility issues

Hello,
I have purchased 20 of these Magic:Bit v3.1 units as part of a class project for my students. At the time, I was not aware that they are not compatible with the Micro:bit's Make Code Editor as there is no compatible Extention for this board. I tried looking around for other compatible software, but have had difficulty.

What software can be used that is block code, and is also compatible with Chromebooks? I have also tried Scratch, but once again, I do not have a compatible Extention for this board.

I have not tried myself, but you possibly need to follow https://makecode.microbit.org/blocks/custom to let the code provided in this repo show up as blocks in MakeCode.
