Suggestions regarding the MetR package

I found that interpolating discrete points into contour lines or grids is very useful when using the MetR package. But it is recommended to add multiple interpolation methods and dynamically set the parameters of the interpolation function for smoother graphics. Although the current default Kriging method can be used, I found that some edge points are not used during interpolation. In addition, when a map is obtained, it is impossible to set the interpolation range! Especially, it can be combined with ggplot2 itself. Because I am a meteorologist, thank you very much for developing the MetR package. I hope the features will become more and more diverse. Thank you

I am a bit hesitant to adding more options for interpoolation. geom_contour already does too much. The current option to use kriging is meant for quick-and-dirty use. If you need more fine-grained control over interpolation, it might be better to perform the interpolation before plotting using a dedicated function.

Currently metR only does interpolation (Interpolate) from a regular grid, so it doesn't work for your usecase. I personally don't use interpolation in my work. What other methods do you think might be useful?
