Description
Cause
This is caused by a compatibility conflict with Vanilla Expanded Framework (VEF), which heavily transpiles the same method (Frame.CompleteConstruction). VEF's changes interfere with the vanilla null-check for storage settings on the frame.
Impact
- The locker builds and works perfectly afterward:
- Storage tabs appear normally
- Items can be hauled to and stored in the locker
- Custom stack limits and other mod features function as intended
- No gameplay breakage — it's purely log noise during the construction completion tick.
- The error is more noticeable in dev mode (popup + red text), but in normal play it's usually just a quiet log entry unless you have a log reader mod active.
Workarounds
- Temporarily disable VEF if the error message bothers you during testing.
- Ignore it — the mod continues to work fine in the vast majority of cases.
- Future update planned: I'll keep tracking this for a cleaner long-term fix (likely a more targeted Harmony patch or alternative approach).
Thanks for your understanding!
Large modlists with VEF are extremely common, so this note helps reduce confusion and support tickets while I continue to investigate.
Feel free to report any other unexpected behavior — your feedback helps a ton!
