ggRandomForests installation fails

Hi,

Trying to install ggRandomForests on an Manajro linux system, however the installation is aborted with the error message:

Error: object ‘var.select’ is not exported by 'namespace:randomForestSRC'
Execution halted
ERROR: lazy loading failed for package ‘ggRandomForests’

The randomForestSRC package currently installed is version 3.4.0.

I encounter the same issue. I can see that randomForestSRC::var.select() was removed in release 3.4.0 (cf. NEWS). It recommends to use {varPro} instead, but this package is not yet available on CRAN.

Yes, we are working on an update, because randomForestSRC has removed var.select, and changed the format of partial.rfsrc outputs, I am temporarily removing many functions.

The latest suggestion is to use the new variable selection method available with varPro (source is at https://github.com/kogalur/varPro). I have forked that release and added some documentation at ehrlinger/varPro.

We will be incorporating the varPro selection methods soon.
