Grouping

Be able to group devices / events in different ways, like lots, packages, places, tags... with their filters and views (this is a port of the group functionality of the prototype).

Whishlist

• Performing an action to a group should affect to all of their devices / events.
• Groups should be in a hierarchy (groups inside groups). Warehouse --> Pallet.
• Should be assignable to people.
• We should be able to print labels for them (useful for packages) and use the Android App on a group.
• Groups can be physically located (Place, lot, package).

I suggest add 'lot' or batch as an specific field despite of having it as grouping:

Items in a lot are of a single class, composition, model, size, type, or version, are produced under essentially the same conditions, and are intended to have uniform quality and characteristics within specified limits. A lot is ordered, sold, released, or delivered in its entirety. An exact lot is called a round lot, any quantity more or less than a lot is called an odd lot. Also call batch.
