I would really appreciate some example code. Unfortunately, the repository isn't explained very well, and I'm new to MAVLink.

My use case is as follows:

I want to receive data (e.g., telemetry) from drones on the network in my program. I am currently simulating a drone using px4/gazebo sitl (it broadcasts data on port 14540). For this, I'm using the jonasvautherin/px4-gazebo-headless:latest container.

However, in my program, I don't just want to receive data from the drones; I also want to control them and start missions.

Perhaps you could provide me with a few examples for this.

Okay, are you currently able to receive the data sent by the drone? And now you need to make the drone perform flight operations? Could you tell me more details about that?

Hi @KKJava1, I noticed that some of the messages (for instance, https://mavlink.io/en/messages/common.html#AVAILABLE_MODES) is missing from the library. Did you stumble upon this issue as well and if yes how did you handle it? Did you try to extend the library and add new messages to it? Thanks in advance for your reply!

This mainly depends on the specific flight controller. Some FCs customize these modes, so you’ll need to request their documentation. If you want keyboard movement and similar operations, you’ll need to switch to Offboard mode.
