Log updater doesn't detect logout

If ns2update gets restarted and someone already has the console open in a browser, the browser doesn't notice that it has been logged out, and just prints 'undefined' to the console over and over.

Ideally, we should persist sessions between runs, but worst case we should force a refresh of the page when an error like that is detected.
