WorldEdit Conflict

I've had some users coming into #worldedit complaining about issues with WorldEdit on their server who found that removing ChessCraft solved their issues. One of the errors is v931-4967872 (Is it up to date?): com.sk89q.worldedit.WorldEdit.setVersion(Ljava/lang/String;)V. My first guess was that some plugin was shading WE, but it doesn't look like ChessCraft does. Any ideas?

Hmm, not offhand, no. Chesscraft definitely doesn't shade WE - it just uses the WE API if it's installed as a plugin.

I've actually been doing a fair bit of work on CC recently - I've not seen any conflicts during testing but I will keep an eye out...

I guess one possibility is that the current 0.4.1 ChessCraft release (which is 4 months old) is compiled against WorldEdit 4.6, which is also pretty old. I'm not sure if that will cause problems - I run ChessCraft 0.4.1 in conjunction with WorldEdit 5.1 on my local server without seeing any problems.

Anyway, the next ChessCraft release (out pretty soon) is compiled against WE 5.1 - I didn't need to change anything in CC to make that work, just a pom.xml update.
