No 'index' file?

So apparently, the WebUI is looking for certain Web INterface bits that are missing, index.coffee or similar.

Is there a reason these're not provided or available?  Or do these have to be hand-coded and that information is missing from the documentation?  (Or was -webui only written for the debomatic-*.debian.net sites and the web page bits intentionally missing?)
