I was wondering if it's appropriate to format the code with Prettier. I have Prettier installed and it formats the code differently than they were whenever I save changes.

Do you have a specific prettier configuration or you're using the default?
To simplify the review, I will format the codebase with prettier (default configuration).
You can then pull the main branch and continue from there, if that's ok.
