cdgen: Divide processing into spatial sub-domains #55
Description
Processing large areas (like mainland China) leads to a python kill after long dark computes. Not sure what exactly is triggering this, but I would be wise to divide these large computations into sub-computations anyway.
Todos:
- determine a reasonable max area that should be contained in one batch
- build algo to sub-divide computation (stripes or grid)
