Documentation improvements

Currently documentation is only built in the most recent x.x branch.

For both API documentation and Plugin Documentation it would be nice if we could use a version number selector and build for the current version.

This can probably be done using the current branch name and adding it to a dropdown box on the site.

I'd quite like to investigate this when I have a bit of time.
