Bug with updating package version

Theres a bug with the package version where it doesn't update correctly if you aren't using the most recent version.

I feel like this is perhaps tied to the most recent version of the package, not the one installed.

That or theres an issue with code sequencing where it gets the version too early.

Removing vendor and doing a composer install seems to fix the issue so perhaps theres a missing hook somewhere.
