First of all, I just wanted to open this issue to say a huge thank you for this project!

I've been testing error-align recently, and it handles alignment tasks impressively well. It really fills a gap for those of us working on precise audio-text alignment, and the approach is very clean.

I noticed that the last commit was a little while ago. I was wondering if this project is still being actively maintained?

• Is there a roadmap for future features?

I would love to see this project keep moving forward. Thanks again for your hard work!

Yes, the project is still being maintained. There is a small roadmap (i.e., the work-in-progress items in the README).

The plan is to release a C++ version and some optimizations for long-form text before the end of the year. You should expect a 10-30x speed-up. In addition, we plan to add new algorithms with different constraints in the coming year, but this is still to be planned.

That sounds great! If it's possible to fast-track this, it would be incredibly helpful as I'm currently working on a new project that relies heavily on this functionality.
