Image slice sync even if the FrameOfReferenceUID tag doesn't match

If we have 2 or more series in the viewer of the same organ, can we make Image slice sync feature work with only "ImagePositionPatient" and "ImageOrientationPatient" tags?

Yes, image slice synchronization works correctly without matching FrameOfReferenceUID.

Both stackImagePositionSynchronizer and stackImagePositionOffsetSynchronizer rely only on spatial information from ImagePositionPatient and ImageOrientationPatient. They find and display the closest image in 3D space without checking FrameOfReferenceUID.

This allows synchronization of different series of the same anatomical region as long as valid position metadata is available. Reference lines still require matching FrameOfReferenceUID by design.

Recommendation: use stackImagePositionSynchronizer or the offset variant when synchronizing across series with different reference frames. This behavior is already supported and working as expected.
