[Forms] Forms are without buttons?

It would be nice to have an example (or all of them) with some buttons (Save/Submit, Reset/Discard, etc.)

Thanks for opening this issue. The forms section definitely needs a retouch.

Actually, I am trying to learn how to pass an object (say Person) into an example form, edit a field and then return the object back to the caller via a custom onFormSubmit(person) lambda function.

I am not sure if the existing form example is sufficient to provide a best practice usage and that is actually what I was hoping for when I bought the product. I know the primary focus is on the UI component itself but still, it would really be nice to have it somehow explained.

Perhaps you could stick somewhere additional code examples/resources where you showcase basic use-cases like the one I explained above, involving several of your components (form, button, etc.)

I agree. The forms are probably one of the oldest things implemented in compose examples.

The way of writing you described was introduced a bit later.

For example have a look at : https://composeexamples.com/components/application-ui/screens/signup where the data is separated to the UI.

The new forms will be written in a similar fashion.
