Improving UI of the Student Home page

I was checking the website I realized that once I log in as the student, the UI of the Home page seems very plain and dull.

Describe the solution you'd like...

1. I want to change the start learning button first and colour code it with the overall color theme of the website.
2. The 'Your subjects' sections look very plain, I think the subject names would look good in a box-y UI
3. The assignments, test and calendar box can be improved. I was also thinking of a different bg image for each option but I would only go ahead with that if you wish to have it that way.
4. I think Your subjects could be aligned in the center instead of left align? Please let me know your thoughts on this
