Hi, appreciate the tool you've developed! Any ideas about this error?

It's the Zoho IMAP server.

I only get this error on a few of the mailboxes.

MacOS Mail seems to be OK with the Zoho IMAP server.

Is there a way to see the IMAP protocol telemetry in imapcli to see what the server is sending?

(Trivia... I once shared an office with Mark Crispin, the inventor of IMAP).

Thanks for reporting. I realized that the -v flag that enabled outputting IMAP server responses was totally broken. The error originates with the IMAP library.

I've just now released version 3.0.0 with a new switch -O/--log-output that you can use with a filename to write the responses in JSON format to a file. Hopefully this will enable you to shed more light on what's going wrong.

Please have a try and report back so we can try and find the solution.

So um, I'm using imapcli via Docker install on MacOS. I have no idea what to do with the zip file download.
