Missing dependeny

document.cpp includes document.h. document.h is included elsewhere. Only document.cpp is not rebuild on change of document.h. No wonder, document.h is not showed up with -d3 as dependent of document.cpp.
I've looked for timestamps and cache files and #include "document.h" or #include <document.h> and their order, and, yeah, different file encodings, fresh checkout of the source tree.
Am I the only one who has this effekt? It's not the first time.
Where or how can I take another look?

The only times the dependency scanning for C++ includes hasn't worked is when there are macros involved. Could you create a small self-contained project that replicates the problem you see?

After I've written a many text here, the result is The Encoding of the cpp file.
UTF8 with BOM = .h not included in the tree.
UTF8 without BOM = included, also with original content.
BUT within my tests the last 20 Minutes I randomly I had one(!) time that, with BOM, the tree included the .h. I am sure that I don't save the cpp.
30 rounds later...
It's the BOM. UTF+BOM + a comment in the first line of the cpp = .h is in tree. I can repeat that. With BOM the first #include is ignored, if it the first bytes/chars in the file.
Time for an issue.
