MAF output in TCGA

In the MAF output of TCGA cohorts, the barcode in the DONOR column is identical to that in the SAMPLE column. Since in TCGA the patient barcode is embedded within the sample barcode, the DONOR barcode should be truncated to the first 12 characters.
A similar issue occurs in the cohort OTHER_WGS_MM_NATLEUK2018, where the DONOR barcode should be shortened to the first 9 characters.
This issue may also be present in other cohorts.
