Status of this module?

Hi, I am wanting to convert my Drupal 7 site to Backdrop.  The site is currently dependent on the Services module, which is used as a REST server for the purposes of remote login (SSO) from other sites.

I note that this is quite an old module with very old update dates.  Hopefully it "just works"?
