pagemarks nor retained in puppy Linux

I recently found your interesting mod for mupdf

I downloaded latest git version and compiled in

Puppy Linux 3.01 with GCC 4.1.2

I needed to compile also libxdg-basedir-1.1.1 (missing in my environment)

after successfully compiled this lib and installed, I started to compile mupdf

successfully build and tried but I seen that when I closed a pdf, no pagemarks were retained, every time I reopen same pdf, mupdf opens starting since first page, not since last page seen

any tip about this? maybe my fault?

Hi, nice to see an interest from outside :)
First of all check if ~/.config/mupdf.mark file was created. This is where the page numbers are saved in such format:

The first garbage part is a hash of the first 64KB of the file, which is used to recognize the PDF afterwards. And the value is a number of page which gets opened on startup. I am using it on several gentoo machines, always works nicely. Have you tried multiple different PDF files?
I'll try puppy after you mentioned this.

looking into /root/.config was the first thing I have done but no mupdf.mark file was present

Puppy Linux 3.01 need some special instructions to be ready to compiling and, for version I used, the

libxdg-basedir-1.1.1.pet
