Replacement by optima?

It is not clear what the relationship is between cl-pattern and optima.

Is optima a fork of cl-pattern? A rewrite of it?

Is optima a full replacement for cl-pattern? Can we declare cl-pattern obsolete and mark it as such on github and on cliki?
