Support other distros

Based on metadata.json, only CentOS/RHEL 8 are supported.  A decent percentage of users (myself included) are either still on CentOS/RHEL 7 or another distro such as Debian/Ubuntu/SLES.

Please support a wider range of distros and versions (at least CentOS/RHEL 7).
