About moving our MODEST mailing list from nrao to somewhere else

Hi, it seems nrao does not want us anymore for the MODEST mailing list. They do not accept new subscriptions for us, Peter Teuben also had no solution other than to go to google groups (I discussed it with him). I had complaints from several people who want to join the MODEST mailing list. So I suggest to move our mailing list. One possibility, go to

MODEST-ZAH@listserv.uni-heidelberg.de (this is not yet open, application is pending)

I think this is an urgent issue if we do not want to become a club of seniors...). I want to discuss with Peter Teuben to move our list membership to the new list. I will also post this on the modest github discussion page.

Let me know if you have any other ideas or suggestions, and also if you have any objections to be moved to another list site. Best wishes, Rainer

I am not in favour of a google list: the less data we store in the US the better. What about a Leiden University hosted list? Simon

 I don't mind any list server, as long as it is a standard list server.  It is more than one month ago that I noted the issue with the old dysfunctional nrao list server. Now, since nothing happened, I found to take action ...  Regarding the manybody.org webpages, I cannot find them; Steven referred to: https://github.com/amusecode/manybody.org  There is a backreference to manybody.org old webpage. Some subdirectories I could only find html text. May be I am too stupid to find a webpage under a github?  Best wishes  Rainer
