ContactChannel field missing

We have the lambda working with the Amazon Connect Salesforce CTI.

We are receiving AC Contact Trace Records, but those records are missing the "Contact Channel" field.
I looked through this repo, but did not find any reference to "Contact Channel"?

How is this field being populated?

We wanted to get the phone number in amazonconnect__AC_ContactChannels__c.amazonconnect__CustomerNumber__c
