Volume stepsize

I noticed when using stepsize of 1,5 it's only valid when increasing volume but lowering remains at 3.
Is this by design?

No, not all by design. In my app, a quick check reveals something close to 1.5, but I am not debugging it, just checking the number shown in the display. Would you be happy if I changed it to steps of 1? A step of 1.5 is a bit annoying because we cannot see in the display what the exact value is.

Sure.
Just noticed when connected to my Wiim and on setting 1,5 when going up in volume it jumps to 24, 25, 26 etc on the display and 24, 21, 18 etc. when going down. Should be the same both ways, right?

Probably yes, in former times, floating numbers were supported. But I need to check the inner mechanics to say for sure. This may also be influenced by how Apple Music works or how macOS volume is stored inside. Maybe the rounding comes from the outside. I am not even sure that Apple Music and macOS support volume levels with floating-number precision. They probably do internally, but the interface with outside apps like mine may not support it.

The best would be to choose integer steps by units of 1. This would avoid any confusion. Most likely, for human ears, a step of 1 or 1.5 is just the same, but it avoids confusion.
