Grafana Version 7.2 #55

Hey,
I'm having a small question regarding the grafana version, which is needed for this plugin.
According to the plugin's dependencies, Grafana version >=7.5.5 is needed. However, when I installed the plugin in my local Grafana, it seemed to work flawlessly with version 7.2.
Could you please give me some insights about why version 7.5.5 is needed and what the limitations are for lower versions?
