Project Status, Contribution, and Third-Party Support Inquiry

First of all, thank you for the work you've done on this project.

I noticed that the latest Code, Github-Issues and Pull-Requests are from about four years ago. I wanted to kindly ask whether the project is still being maintained, and what I should expect if I were to open a pull request. Are contributions still being reviewed and merged?

I'm currently evaluating whether this project is a good fit for my needs and would appreciate a bit of clarity on its current status. This would help me decide whether to proceed with using it or to look for alternative solutions.

Additionally, I'd be interested to know if you're open to support or maintenance contributions from third parties — and if so, under what conditions. Is there any way the community could assist in keeping the project alive or improving it?
