Half-height version

Thanks for this. Any chance this could be shrunk down to fit a half-height PCI slot (with a smaller fan of course)?

A low-profile version is by far the most common suggestion I get. It's definitely something I'd like to develop, though I'm still working through what the best design approach would be.

In terms of fan configuration, I've considered single or dual 40mm, 50mm, or 60mm fans. 60mm fans have the best availability, but would be difficult/impossible to mount on a low-profile card while staying within the PCIe spec. Dual 40mm fans seem like the most practical solution, but that severely limits fan selection - Noctua's NF-A4x10 PWM is really the only suitable option if I stick with a similar design.

Let me know if you've got any preference/insight into what fan configuration I should use.

That's a bummer that 2 x 60mm breaks the spec, as that would be my ideal choice. My next choice would be dual 40mm then, as from what I can tell, Noctua doesn't make a 50mm fan. What about triple 40mm, is that within spec?
