Scanner opens links in new windows instead of in new tabs

The problem is that this slows down my computer a lot. :(

Anyhow:

• I'm not a coder and am missing a lot of knowledge real GitHub users would take for granted.

• I'm using the 64-bit version of Firefox 126.0.1.

• I've gone into about.config and changed:

• browser.link.open_newwindow to 3

• browser.link.open-newwindow.restriction to 0

• browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external to -1

Does anyone have any ideas about other things to check, to try to force the extension to open links in tabs instead of windows?

Otherwise: Is there a way to open the tabs one folder at a time, so I can open just, say, 10 new windows, instead of 80 new windows?
