Unit tests in project structure

I would like to give my contribution to the project. But i'm little bit confused about current project structure. Where should be placed unit test projects due to actual project convention?

Believe it or not, my first goal is to just do a rudimentary port from Java to idiomatic C#. It is probably easier for me than for others since I know the code. Sorry for the confusion. How would you like to see tests set up?
