Matplotlib I line not working

%matplotlib inline seemingly has stopped working for more recent versions of the package. Potentially it has been moved to a separate package, matplotlib-inline. We will have to look into that and if that resolves it, add it to the installation instructions.

I am using jupyter lab and python 3.13 and the %matplotlib inline and the matplotlib notebook work. I will park this for now until we run into this issue again.
