[BUG] entityRenderLayerOverride not working

Describe the issue

• The render layer is not getting changed by the properties file
• I loaded a pack that worked in past versions and it only changed the creeper's render layer to translucent but now it doesn't work
• The properties file is located at /assets/minecraft/optifine/random/entity/creeper/ and the file is called creeper.properties and the contents are just

entityRenderLayerOverride=translucent

My setup:

• Minecraft version: 1.21.11
• ModLoader: Fabric
• ETF Version 7.0.8
• The issue does persist with ETF installed alone.
• I have checked the FAQ in the Readme and the Discord, didn't find any mentions of it bug being acknowledged

i.e. does it still work in older mc versions?

I just loaded that pack in 1.21.7 because that's the last version I remember the pack working, on an instance with only etf and as you can see the render layer is overwritten perfectly there.
