linux CI "successful" on failure

the job for ubuntu latest is reported as successful even though it fails to actually compile the project? i admittedly don't know much about github actions but that seems wrong, i spent a long time trying to get this building on linux under the assumption that it was a tested way to build, but even after properly disabling the go compiler the register allocator relies on qsort_s

build.lua doesn't fail on ninja build error, that's why it doesn't fail in gh actions

btw, in your inlining article your square function seems to just be a doubling function? am i missing something, the same code appears so much in the article that it doesn't look like a mistake but i'm not sure how that could be

ohh yeah that's a bug, it's just a double function
