how could you allow a user to input a file that has a list of questions and answers instead of having to input every time they use the application. this would also allow them to have many lists of questions and answers (e.g. science questions, math, history, etc.)

you'd probably want to do this after #3 and #4

No need to use flask, although flask is fun!

Let's assume your file is tab-delimited (meaning it uses the | [pipe] character to delimit columns) looks something like this:

What is your name?|Ben
What's your favorite color?|Yellow

Files are often comma or tab delimited but if you do it as comma-delimited that would make it harder to be able to have a comma in your answer or question. Tab is good but for fun, let's do pipe. Usually for files like this, you'll use the .txt extension.

1. Now, instead of asking for questions and answers, you'll need to ask for a filename instead (you should know how to do that since you've already asked the user for their input)
2. You'll next need to read that file.
3. Process that file to make your question_answer_pairs list

Reading a text file

The goal here is to open and read a file to create your question_answer_pairs list instead of asking the user for each question/answer.

There's a lot of ways to do this so I want you to try doing some research to see what's out there and what you like. Try looking for the python function open(). Which will create a file object that has the methods: read(), readlines(), and readline(). Any of those methods will work for you but each will have different ways you'll need to process the output to make your question_answer_pairs list.
