Type Checking Strategy: mypy today, ty in the future

Current state

At the moment, this template uses mypy for static type checking.

The choice is intentional:

• it’s stable and widely adopted
• it provides a reliable strict mode for production safety
• it’s well supported across the current Python ecosystem

That makes it a good default choice for a production-ready project template today.

Looking ahead

I’m actively watching the development of ty and plan to evaluate a switch once it reaches a stable release and proves itself in real-world usage.
