Introduction story (scrolling text) is off-screen on mobile devices

The scrolling text needs to be optimized for mobile devices.

I've been tinkering with the CSS, trying to get the heights right... but no luck. I'm testing on an iPhone 6 and an old iPad mini. Weird how the mobile browser totally interprets the height % selector different from the desktop browser.
