Is it possible to create a preset or save settings for batch processing? So that you don't have to re-enter data each time, but run the script using the preset? Or what can be changed in the script so that a specific folder with a specific resolution is processed?

It would need to store the data run each time. This is possible by adding descriptor to the script.

You can see how this works by looking at the layerComps script from photoshop. Most of these input and settings in this dialog are stored and when you recall the script. Photoshop uses the last stored data.

Another method could be, store the data to a visible or invisible "side file". Basically same process only data is stored in a physical file. This way you can store the setting per folder or pee file your running

I am a complete beginner programmer (I am a designer trying to make my job easier). It turned out to be difficult for me to do as you suggested. But your post gave me an idea.

I made several copies of the script (something like "preset").
I wrote down the following as default values:

• the required color model
• crop mode
• resolution
• path to the folder with the source files (different folders for different resolutions) and the "save to the same folder" checkbox
• in some scripts I added launching actions to change the scale (part of the pdf is created at a scale of 1:10)
• added flatten and saving to tiff
• and disable the display of the script menu on the screen

After that I added all copies of the script to photoshop action and everything works.
I can process multiple folders with pdf files with my own required output file resolution for each folder by one click.

But does this work properly in combination with actions?

I mean the script runs standalone by itself. You can pass data from one to the other. So how do you get this to work on all you custom folder paths then?

I have uploaded edited scripts for processing specific folders, as well as a "pre-configured" script for the most common types of processing in my work. For scripts with name xxx_10, an action is added to the processing, returning the file scale from 10:1 to 1:1 before saving to tiff. I placed this action first in the action palette, so that it is selected when the checkbox "run action" is enabled

Your next step would be to make it dynamic. That way you don't need a different version each time
