Chain Upgrade for PASG Airdrop Claim

Overview

The 14-month staking period for the PASG bonus airdrop for the Strange Clan community ends February 28, 2025. Background information regarding the airdrop can be found here and on the airdrop checker website.

In order to facilitate a claims process for eligible recipients, upgrades are required to the Passage Chain handler to include the airdrop list and claim records.

Separately, there are also recommended updates for the chain, including cosmwasm deps and ibc-go deps.

We are seeking qualified developers to facilitate the upgrade, governance proposal, and airdrop bonus claims process.

• Update cosmwasm deps to v1.5.8
• Update ibc-go deps to v4.6.0
• Upgrade handler for airdrop claims
• Thorough testing of upgrade software
• Submit governance proposal and coordinate the upgrade if passed
• Update, deploy, and maintain airdrop webpage through the end of the claims process

About Us:

At Vitwit, we are a dedicated cosmos development agency and validator company, proud contributors to the Passage chain. Our team has previously developed the current version of the Passage chain, demonstrating our expertise around this.

We propose the development and testing of the upgrade for Passage network. This upgrade will enable users to easily claim strangeclan bonus airdrop and also covers the other updates required in chain software.

Timeline and deliverables

Below are our proposed timelines and key deliverables:

Milestone(4 weeks):

• Update Passage chain dependencies (non-breaking) aka ibc-go, cosmwasm
• Add upgrade handler to handle the airdrop claims (include setting minimum deposit, increasing minimum gas configurations if the governance proposal goes through)
• Update airdrop checker site to allow airdrop claims
• Test and finalize the release
• Handle the communications for the following governance proposals
  • Increase minimum deposits for governance proposals to avoid spam
  • Increase minimum gas
  • Software upgrade
• Coordinate and lead the upgrade

Budget

The total cost for this project is $5,000 USD, payable in two tranches ($USDC or $PASG). This investment will cover all development, testing, and deployment phases.
