Detection of ClearType does not work with any Windows version #3
Description
When trying to generate a localization package, the ClearType detection states that ClearType is active, but it is not.
Happens on Windows 10 Pro x64 and also Windows 7. Is not depending on system language, I tested it with German and English.
The error also appears even with all text smoothing turned off by registry entries, so I really cannot understand what the issue is and what the program is checking.
I would say we would need an updated version. if (elem.attr("id") == "cleartypetest") in divcap.js does not seem to give the desired results :( Like I said, I've turned of font smoothing completely and it steel seems to give a number higher than 2 (or lower?).
Couldn't you please change that to something else?
I also tried to run everything locally and changed the code there, but then again the tool tells me that it can't verify wether the extension is installed or not and then can't install it because my local address is of course not accepted for extension installing by Chrome.
If I edit that extension check it proceeds to the capturing page, but it can't access the extension, even after manually adding it from the local folder as a local extension.
