Document the original Firmware SD card structure #46
Description
It would be nice to have the structure of the original firmware documented. At the first glance the structure seems to be (Firmware 4.13):
Sector 1: MBR, basic config (?)
Sector 2 and upwards (MBR partition table):
Part#1 – Bootloader (4M, 8190 sectors)
Part#2 – Behringer X32 Application (72M, 147456 sectors)
Part#3 – Scenes, Presets, Snipplets, etc. Library (40M, 81920 sectors)
Part#4 – Current settings (4M, 8192 sectors)
Partitions #2, #3 and #4 all seem to be using a sort of “filesystem” or similar structure (more likely this is some archive, similar to tar etc.). Using the unix/linux “file” command didn’t yield any result but the structure doesn’t seem very complicated. It would be nice to be able to at least extract the individual files from the partitions.
