Unable to pay in STRK for some transactions

A report received from user (@blandhung working on a game in Unity):

It's really strange that for some transactions I can pay with strk gas fee normally, however, there are some transactions I can't use strk to pay gas fee.
This is an example contract that works fine with strk gas fee
