Cant find method for a clean uninstall / upgrade #5

I've been having problems with version 1.0.0 of the program (SSL errors), and spent a bit of time trying to figure out how to do the upgrade. Unfortunately avecto removed most of my sudo access, including the ability to kill processes, so this has been annoyingly difficult.
I looked through the dmc_mac_service.py and it looks like I can stop the thing from auto starting by deleting the /Library/LaunchDaemons/storage-dmc.plist file, but yet again, thanks to avecto removing all my administrator rights, I no longer seem to be able to do this.
Is there a clean way of uninstalling and upgrading storagegrid-dmc on a mac ?
