Won't compile on GCC13

Hi,

I've just spent the last few days trying to get this to build on ArchLinux. After some hairloss, I've discovered that gcc13 is the culprit.

So, for those of you trying to get this to build on a modern Linux, try installing gcc12 and:

export CC=gcc-12                                                                                                                                           
export CXX=g++-12           

Hope to save you some hair. :)
