Inquiry regarding ROSCO tuning for the WindCrete floating platform

Hello developers,

Current Status: I am currently working with OpenFAST v3.5 input files for the WindCrete floating wind turbine. These files are not from the official NREL repository but were obtained from https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4322446 (Molins et al., 2020).

The ROSCO controller configuration included in this dataset appears to be outdated and has not been tuned for the latest version of ROSCO/OpenFAST. As a result, the simulation fails to run properly.

Question: Given this situation, I would like to ask: Does retuning ROSCO for this specific floating platform require a significant amount of effort? Could you provide any suggestions or a recommended workflow for updating the controller parameters for this specific model?

It appears that model is using the IEA-15MW tuning yaml, which has a DISCON that has been maintained for all ROSCO versions here.

Without more information about the issues you see, it's hard to know how much effort, which varies from person to person, will be required to retune the controller to your specifications. The documentation is a good place to start learning about the workflow.
